James 1:27 exhorts us to care for the orphans and widows.
The exhortation is given to all Christians, but what that looks like lived out is different for everyone. Some are called to adopt! Some are called to encourage and visit, investing time! Some are called to support monetarily!

Please know that we have appreciated all of your prayer support and are grateful for the many who have invested time and money of your own in a young man's life who you did not know. We hope you will meet him some day soon. He will never know the amount and sacrifice made on his behalf, but I pray he will feel and truly know the love and acceptance from you! God bless!

Very Important Update to July 28th Post!

Buddy the Elf was here...........

So, we sat down for a late lunch, like 3 pm, and we ordered something to drink. Levi, Faith and I all got iced tea while Beth, of course, had water.  After the waitress brought our drinks and took our lunch order (if you recall, it was the lunch Levi did not like), Levi was sipping his tea, and the waitress said something in Chinese, then picked up a small pitcher with thick dark liquid and poured it in his tea.  He stirred, drank, SMILED BIG, and added more.

At that point, Faith decided to check it out. She smelled it, and said, "This smells like maple syrup," and then proceeded to try it in her own glass. "Mmmmm," she said as she took a sip, "Yep, tastes like tea with maple syrup!"

Just thought you would enjoy the update from south of the North Pole!

(NOTE TO AMIE AND SOPHIE AT HOME....YOU WILL NOT GET TO DO THIS!!)
