James 1:27 exhorts us to care for the orphans and widows.
The exhortation is given to all Christians, but what that looks like lived out is different for everyone. Some are called to adopt! Some are called to encourage and visit, investing time! Some are called to support monetarily!

Please know that we have appreciated all of your prayer support and are grateful for the many who have invested time and money of your own in a young man's life who you did not know. We hope you will meet him some day soon. He will never know the amount and sacrifice made on his behalf, but I pray he will feel and truly know the love and acceptance from you! God bless!

Praise and Prayer

PRAISES:

Our dossier is now is China.  We should soon be receiving our RA (Referral Approval), which means China accepts us as parents for Levi!

Another praise:  which is older, and most of you may know of it, but for those who don't...I want YOU to know what the Lord has done for us!  At the beginning of April, we applied to the USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services)for fingerprints appointments.  Because of our May 19 deadline for dossier to China, Paul called their office to let them know of the urgency of our situation.  They informed him, that the process was weeks long...and as we figured it, we could not make the deadline with their regular process time.  He called back a second time, on a Friday...they couldn't even FIND our paperwork! even though we had a case number that it was logged into their system.  We went through the weekend...and Tuesday's mail brought fingerprint appointments.  We do not understand HOW it got through so quickly, but God does!  And not only that, the appointments were for a day when we would already be in Portland at an check-up for Amie at OHSU....AAANND their appointment times didn't even conflict!  Coincidence?  I THINK NOT!

Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think...to HIM be the glory forever and ever!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

LEVI:  Will soon find out he has a family.  Please pray for him as he processes this and contemplates living in a different country with a new family.

I-800:  this is also a USCIS form, that finalizes the immigration process.  Kind of complicated to explain, but we are asking God, that it go through smoothly and in a timely manner!

Thank you for your prayers.  It is wonderful to know that we pray to a God....THE GOD...who is alive and intimately involved in our lives.  It's not just a nice comforting sentiment we say!
